Instant Friends

Today we had a very good friend of mine over with her two sons. The older one, Jack, is just about Gabriel's age and the younger one, Marcus, is about 4 months old. Gabriel and Jack have met each other once or twice, but they were both too young to remember it. It was kind of neat though that they hit it off within seconds of Jack walking in the door! Although they had a few little spats throughout the day (what two year olds don't!), they really had a fun time together and gave each other hugs before they parted. It kind of makes me wonder if they could just tell that their moms are good friends so of course they should be too! Perhaps friendships are something that are just naturally generational... if one generation gets along, I suppose it would make sense that the next would too since they are probably similar in personality to the previous one. Who knows? I guess this theory can be tested further once we have our second boy in a few months and we'll see how well him and Marcus get along when they're a little bit older. Poor Adalia though, she'll be right in the middle of 4 boys when we get together! But I'm sure that Jack and Marcus will be upstanding young gentlemen. Perhaps an arranged marriage is called for...
