Our New Pet

We've seen this fawn around several times in the past few weeks (one time was during our camping trip), but we were truly astounded when we saw it just sitting in our back yard last week. The kids were looking out one of the back windows and making lots of noise, and it just looked at them and didn't seem bothered by it. It sat there long enough that Mike was able to get his camera out and go around the back right corner of the house and take several photos of it. I'm not very good spatially, but I'd say he was within 30 feet of the fawn before it finally moved after he crouched down to its level. We saw it again later with two other deer eating acorns that had fallen from one of our oak trees (the biggest tree in the picture).
