Does anyone out there have any good ideas for pre-school aged fieldtrips that are free/inexpensive? I am planning to do one fieldtrip a month with the kids, but I'm having some trouble coming up with good ideas. I'm hoping to do things either season-related or subject-related to what we're studying, but other good learning experiences would be great too! So, any of you creative and/or pre-school-seasoned people out there, please share some ideas! And if anyone would like to come along with us, just let me know!

I found this website. It has ideas all around PA, but I'm sure there are some things listed that would be close to you and free! http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/trips/PennsylvaniaTrips.htm
Em, the firehouse, a pumpkin farm, maybe a small airport with two seater planes, in the spring maybe a nursery so they can see how things grow, maybe whoever is responsible for plowing the streets in the winter. Of course there is always storytime at the library but would a librarian show them around and show them how they get books and put them on the shelves, and other behind the scenes stuff. Even the grocery store might be willing to show them how they store stuff and then put it out on the shelves. At this age they should be learning about all the people who help to make our world work.
you can bring them down to the water taxi for a boat ride sometime if you want. I don't know if it's educational, but it's fun!
