A Quick Update

There really isn't much news to report around here, so between that and not having any time to do anything much more than take care of the kids and the house, I haven't been very good about updating the blog recently. However, Josiah went to bed a little on the early side, so I thought I'd just give a quick update for anyone who is interested.

The main news of the week is that we got a piano!!! It's a little bit of a long story, but the short of it is that a friend of mine gave us an old piano that was hers when she was a kid. It is so nice to have a piano to play! It has been a long time since I've gotten to play one on a regular basis, so I am very excited! (We have a keyboard, but it's really not the same, so I don't play it all that often.) Now I just need all of my piano music from my mom's house which will hopefully come on Friday with my mom!

Speaking of my mom, she has been coming to help me clean and organize the house which desparately needs it. It has been great having the extra help (and motivation :) ) and the kids have really been enjoying getting to see Grandma (or mommy's mommy as they refer to her) more often! She hasn't seen the living room since we got the piano, so she doesn't know what she's up against this week when she comes :)

As far as the kids, they are all doing well except for this cold that we can't seem to shake. Josiah is now sleeping between 6.5 and 9 hours a night with the average probably being about 8 hours, which has been nice for me since I am finally getting some sleep. Although I think it will take many months before I feel caught up (or until they're all 18 as many people have told me).

Mike and I are also both doing reasonably well. We actually got to go out on a date with some friends of ours this past week and only took Josiah who slept the entire time (thanks mom!).
Adalia got to go get icecream with Aunt Torrie while we were out and was very pleased with her pink spoon that she got there.

Other than that, life has pretty much consisted of taking care of the kids, cooking, cleaning, and trying to exercise when I can fit it in. Nothing too exciting to report, but at least you all know that we are still alive.
And now that I have just finished, Josiah has decided that he is not quite going to bed yet, so I must go deal with him.
