We switched Adalia over to a big bed today (actually just a twin-size mattress on the floor). The transition went really well for both kids - neither one cried as we expected since not only did Adalia move out of the crib, but Gabriel and Adalia also switched rooms. I think it helped that we let them play on the mattress in Gabriel's new room for a few days before switching them so he could get used to being in there. The transition was definitely harder for Mommy who has some trouble thinking Adalia is really big enough already for a real bed.
